About Maksym Vereshchak

Maksym Vereshchak brings 18 years of professional experience in working in/with international project teams in sustainable municipal development, municipal and energy management and municipal finance. Moreover, he has over 13 years of first-hand experience with designing and practical implementation of development projects for local infrastructure, energy efficiency, climate and RES.Maksym Vereshchak holds Masters in Management and Economy as well as in Public Administration.Between 2015 and 2021, Mr. Vereshchak served as Key Expert of the EU-funded programme “Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration projects” where he managed a team of international and local. His work within this project was focused on technical assistance to grant applicants (local authorities and project teams) with implementation of 34 demonstration projects in 5 EaP countries (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). Since 2021, he is Deputy team leader of the Covenant of Mayors East project and leading the work on technical assistance to municipalities.
