    # Ibibo RydeRyde is a mobile first, ride-sharing platform where car owners share rides and passengers can buy seats in those rides. The platform supports both consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer rides. # RoleWorking along with Product & Business leads, I head the entire product development effort.# Focus Areas- Hired the 24+ member engineering team from scratch with a painstaking focus on quality. Did more than 150+ telephonic and in-person interviews personally.- Wrote the entire Version 1 product spec for Ryde apps. This 75+ page spec detailed every module & functionality used in Ryde apps, including some core features like Ryde SDK, Ryde Sync, Notifications, Ryde Storage, etc. I still contribute about 20% specs in every sprint.- Ryde apps work on top of unique feature switches which help the product team leverage real time experimentation to study & tune user behavior- Built the app analytics setup using Mixpanel for understanding product behavior (100+ events), AppsFlyer for attribution & uninstall analytics And 30+ in-house reports for various data needs.- Ryde is deployed on Amazon cloud (Engineyard Cloud) with a 100% horizontally scalable app layer. Production environment can easily be cloned to spin several test environments. 12 staging environments automatically shut down during the night to save cost.- Entire infrastructure is automated with custom Chef recipes which augment Engineyard’s environment- Responsible for the entire CRM module which has a deep API level integration with Freshdesk for various CRM activities : Customer ticketing, User Moderation, etc.- Envisioned & executed a fluid promo code system which worked on top of an in-house developed query language. This reduced turnaround time for new promo code generation - from multiple dev days to just minutes.- Responsible for performance tuning of all API’s with a target response time of 300-500ms averaged in a 24 hour period. Data is measured via NewRelic.
