Initially an HTO then promoted to Higher HTO, my duties expanded to include the urgent preparation of blood products for specific individuals at short notice. The work is the responsibility of an individual rather than part of the HTO team. I was responsible for the preparation of ad-hoc products and their return for issue to hospitals, typically within short timescales of one to five hours. The work was scrupulous, detailed and followed GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and detailed SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Initially in charge of all things IT in the Survey Unit. Undertaking varied roles primarily as an analyst/programmer, including survey analysis and reporting and accounts software development. Project highlights:Automated multipart reports: Excel VBA used to produce extremely wide, multi-page survey reports on a per client basis with accompanying charts. Accounts receivable: Bringing Accounts and IT teams together after years of dispute to finalise this system to enable receipt of several £millions of delayed payments from clients.Actuarial data analysis system: Modifications to make the system more UK market orientated.
