Manage 11 stations on the Gatwick Railway line and two stations on the Reading to Basingstoke Line. Joined the Railway in 1998 with an Agency (ADI) and worked the trains between Reading and Paddington as an ATE. Moved to Reading ticket office during 1999 and joined GWR on 12/10/199. Became ticket office Supervisor during November 1999. In 2000 promoted to one of four Ticket Office managers and in 2003 became the Customer Sales Manager. Whilst CSM Reading Ticket Office was chosen to trial the new Ticket Issuing systems to replace the APTIS Machine, These were the SMART from Shere and the STAR from Fujitsu. Both machines were very good but Fujitsu offered a more stable support base so FGW went for the STAR. In February 2006 I became the STAR implementation Manager and I assisted the Fujitsu engineer (Simon) installing all the STAR Machines across all the current FGW and FGWL stations. In September 2006 I was offered the position of SDM Thames Valley & North Downs, working for Glyn Beck. This I did for a year until the next re org and I then became SM Thames Valley and North Downs. In 2009 there was another re org and I became the Senior Stations Manager for Ealing Area which consisted of all stations from Twyford to Acton Mainline including the branch lines. In 2010 after another re org the Senior Station Managers were done away with but I stayed at Ealing Broadway with responsibility for all stations between West Drayton and Acton Mainline. During this period I took on the management of The East Region Maintenance Teams. In 2011 there was another Re org and I was moved to North Downs and I took over the eleven stations on the Gatwick Line. In 2014 I was given the stations on the Basingstoke line as well. At Crowthorne, Farnborough North, All stations from Shalford to Betchworth and Bramley I have managed to get involvement from the local people involved with looking after the stations and adding flowers new signage etc.
