The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Department ensures timely billing, payment and contractual adjustment processing of patient accounts. The department works frequently with staff and leadership of the revenue cycle teams throughout the organization, including but not limited to Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, Health Information Services, Utilization Management/Case Management, Charge Capture, Contract Management and Information Technology Services. - Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the PFS Department staff, including Reimbursement Services and Billing- Responsible for root cause analysis of any issues or obstacles that prevent timely payment and adjustment posting - Provides training and competency evaluation of team members as it relates to specific job functions and responsibilities
