I am a hobbyist programmer with around two years of experience, and a desire to learn more wherever I can. I mostly do back end work with JavaScript, though C and Python are my favorite languages, and I have had a bit of practice with HTML and CSS.I was given an interest in science and computers by my grandfather when I was fairly young, though I didn't actually start programming until early 2020 when I started with Codecademy. I soon got involved working in their community, and mid 2020 I joined their Discord. I got my first experience working with a group on a programming project, helping to build the initial version of the Codecademy Community Moderation Bot. I was promoted to moderator on the CC Discord server in 2021, and gained a lot of great experiences working with and helping other programmers.In early 2022 Skillsoft bought Codecademy and I felt it was time for me to move on from it. I resigned as a moderator in April, and joined a group of other volunteers to begin building the Project Nu forums.
