Leading the department of Research, Design and Development involves extensive research of the domestic and international markets, designing two new collections per year, creating prototypes for new production techniques and finding the newest technology and mechanisms in the market. This role includes designing the showrooms as well as exhibitions.

Meeting and consulting with clients to discuss design needs for their furniture and spaces. Creating custom designs for clients, developing them into shop drawings using AutoCAD and Rhino and following up with 3D team on the implementation of designs into renders. Management and overseeing of custom and retail furniture production for client orders at the factory.

Training in traditional Egyptian crafts such as joining, woodcarving and inlay. Training in other areas such as design and upholstery. In charge of finding new uses for factory waste and increasing material efficiency.
