At CarMax, I have been given the chance to learn how to pay attention to every detail. As an Inventory Associate, I am the first person to come in contact with the vehicles being received by my store. It is my responsibility to ensure each vehicle going on the showroom floor meets CarMax standards and is ready to be sold. Working at CarMax has also allowed me to learn how to manage my time between vehicles to make sure we are hitting deadlines and making vehicles sellable. This position has been a great opportunity for growth and gives me the chance to use my creative problem-solving skills.

Working at California Baptist University was an amazing opportunity to learn more about the graphic design industry and what it means to be a designer. I worked with both the Parent and Alumni office as well as the Music department as their in-house designer. I was given a large range of tasks and projects and it was my job to manage my time wisely and ensure these tasks were getting done. I reported to a creative director and presented my finished pieces for approval. This position taught me to be self-sufficient, learn quickly, and to meet tough dealines.

As an Animator with the Lausasnne Movement, I was a part of an animation team in charge of creating training videos for missionaries. This job was the perfect opportunity to learn more about, my passion, motion design. This was a fully remote position meaning I was self-regulating and ensuring I was effectively communicating to my team any issues I was running into. Each week our team would present progress and continue to build these videos. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the world of remote jobs and it taught me a lot about effective animation strategies, communication, and time management.

Idyllwild

Idyllwild Pines Camp was the first job I worked. It gave me the opportunity to learn and grow into a leader and diligent employee. I began this position as a dishwasher and was able to work my way up into a shift supervisor. As a shift supervisor, I lead each shift through a service of 300-500 kids for 2-3 meals each day. I assigned tasks to my team, solved any issues that came up during the shift, and dealt with customer complaints. I was also able to use my graphic design and animation skills to create graphics packages and videos for the camp. This was one of my all-time favorite positions. I was able to have an impact on not only the kids we were serving but also the team I was leading.
