CurrentAs Category Buyer my primary function is to coordinate and manage the end-to-endprocurement process for assigned categories ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of goods toGroove Life business units. Responsibilities include facilitating the supply andbuy planning process, inventory level management on raw materials, purchase order management,S&OP engagement, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, I own specific assigned product categories andtheir respective product health, adding value through consistent and reliable product delivery toserve our business units and, ultimately, our customers.Duties/Responsibilities:● Lead the supply and buy planning process for assigned product categories.● Utilize MRP/MPS functions in ERP system to determine future product needs.● Collaborate on the supply planning process of S&OP for assigned categories, identifyingarea gaps on inventory health levels while providing recommended solutions.● Conduct analysis on approved vendor list to guide future decisions on business spendutilizing preferred suppliers.● Create, publish, communicate, and manage to receipt all purchase orders.● Work with overseas production teams to ensure production forecasts meet business needs.● Identify and execute cost savings initiatives in relation to category spend.● Develop ongoing cash flow forecast that aligns with category spend plan.● Collaborate with other business units, including Operations, Quality, Product Development,Sourcing, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.● Keep up to date with industry trends, new products and services, and emerging procurementpractices.
