Senior consultant with 7 years of experience in the energy industry, with professional experience in Oil & Gas sector, renewable energy sector and climate change mitigation consultation. I have worked in Singapore, Paris (France) and Oslo (Norway), as an engineer, consultant and project manager. For me, what matters most is to see sustainability & economy grow hand in hand. Having done projects in energy economics and techno-economic modelling, I am keen on working on the global energy situation, to help countries, companies and organization select the right policies, projects & mitigative strategies that help them grow sustainably, and keep up with the energy transition trends. Some of my key projects over the last 7 years: 1. Decarbonization of the oil and gas sector using electrification, CCUS and fuel switching 2. Decarbonization of the industrial sector using electrification, CCUS and fuel switching 3. Methane emissions abatement along the oil and gas and LNG value chain4. Development of CCUS projects, CO2 storage assessment and CCUS hubs assessment 5. Preparing technology roadmaps at country/region level (for H2, CCUS, CH4 abatement, decarbonization) 6. Carbon market, carbon finance and Article 6 related preparedness work I have dual Masters degrees in Energy Innovation and Climate Policy from KTH, Sweden and Ecole Polytechnique, France. I was the valedictorian for my Masters program (2020), with a GPA of 3.8/4.0. Prior to my Masters, I completed my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, from NUS, Singapore. My non-work related pet projects are my vegan cooking blog: (Instagram: @shakahaar1), and refurbishing furniture thrifted from different cities in Sweden. I like challenging myself to live a sustainable life with a low carbon footprint. Reducing my consumer behavior and refurbishing / reusing clothes, furniture, and helping my friends along their path to reduce their carbon footprint!
