I am an Italian-born academic with near-native fluency in English and seventeen years of experience in the Australian tertiary sector. I have a strong background in research, with a focus on early 20th century aesthetics, 20th century Italian theatre and Voice Studies. My passion for innovative research-led and inquiry-based teaching and strong commitment to quality assurance and strategic alignment across the curriculum, has translated into outstanding peer and student feedback through the years. Further to this, I have a strong track record in university program coordination and management, and in the design, development and management of strategic engagement and outreach projects supported by internal and external funding.My commitment to engaged and applied research is at the core of my practice as an artist, which feeds into my academic work as a series of non-traditional research outputs showcased in national and international settings.I am also a published writer and work independently and through commissions.
