  For most of my life I have worked in cathedral music, becoming Organist and Director of Music at three cathedrals, including St. Paul's in London, where I presided over the music for several big state services, including the 80th birthday of HM The Queen .I am now a freelance conductor and composer and accept composing commissions of all types, not just choral. I have composed for choirs all over the globe and been a choral clinician on many choral courses. I also work with several professional orchestras. Recent compositions have included a Sinfonietta for Orchestra, A Sonata for Cello and a Trumpet Concerto. On several occasions, I have been an adjudicator for the British Composer Awards and several BBC choral competitions, and for many years was choral director for the Jean Langlais Festival in France. I also give regular organ and harpsichord concerts, and have performed in nine European countries, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
