Construction Operations Manager - On shore Responsible for managing the Installation/Commissioning/Blade and Stock keeper Technicians for the construction of SWT 2.3VS/1.3CS and 3.00DD Mw Wind turbines throughout the UK. Responsible for resource requirements including all recruitment, selection (recruitment days), training, progression, development (1-2-1), disciplinary, grievance (PIP) and remuneration/bonus awards within Siemens WP

On/Off Shore

Responsible for recruitment/selection of all new Technicians as well as training progress/development/advancement and competency. Interview and selection all Operations Managers for both On/Off Shore placements (UK). Discussion and implementation for Initial Technician Competency framework with Denmark management. Formation of suitable working time arrangements for Technicians. Grievance and Disciplinary procedure and investigations for Technicians. Remuneration reviews and awards as well as planning and placement for all Technicians.

Management of all Construction activities on site and material requirements, planning/programming and responsible for All Health, Safety and Environmental practices including RAMS for the project.(3.00Mw steam driven turbines fuelled by crushed timber furnaces with ROCs entitlement).

Assigned 23 Projects prepared current status and a planned program to completion. Assembled a team of 9 individuals to work under my control and direction, this team included Project managers, Project engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers/Foreman and Administration assistants. Achieved successful completion in excess of the 23 initial sites using a planned, effective, proactive delivery project management approach.

Seconded to the Operations Manager to assist on the 'close out' of priority output schemes for Scottish Water (£12m). Project managing and working with Area and Operations staff from Scottish Water and Solutions on various schemes. These schemes were duly completed and accepted by Scottish Water (congratulated our achievements). Prepared and issued a 'forward resource load' (12 months) for staff required by the Joint Venture (Biwater-Leslie) in Scotland. Updating and introduction of procedures to improve communications, efficiency and quality of current and future ongoing work. Sought and acquired new office accommodation for Biwater in Stirling, offices equipped ready for occupancy. Recruitment, induction and placement of Office Manager.

NorthReporting to the Contracts Director- Projects/Construction, with full responsibility and accountability for all construction operations (inc SHEQ) all within the designated regions. Main responsibilities include (but not limited to) the management of:Allocation of all supervisory resources to site (Site managers/Mechanical/Electrical Resident/Commissioning Engineers/Administrative and Labourers) etc. Guidance and support to Site Management and their staff. Training and development of all staff to maintain compliance within the industry. Ensuring effective feedback and proactive/preventative problem-solving of site/office management issues. The development and implementation of site procedures and overall responsibility of all site safety. Extensive liaison/assistance with the Client (Pre-start up /progress/close-out meetings) Project management (CFR's/Programme/ Planning/Costs/Reporting etc). Design reviews in conjunction with project team, resource planning and forward loads (office/ site staff). Completion/close out strategy of all sites in the designated area's for Handover to the Client. General maintenance and PPM on all sites until handover.Designated Area's covered : Yorkshire Water; United Utilities; Scotland (All area's);Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. All area's had operational construction sites (a total at this time in my region of 18-23 sites

Reporting to the Construction Manager on the control and direction of construction activities including SHEQ, programme and costs on all sites. Management and allocation of Site Managers, Agents and Resident Mechanical/Electrical/Commissioning Engineers.

Responsible for the plant construction, testing and commissioning of the civil, mechanical and electrical plant. Ensure all discipline area's are in accordance with the Contractual programme, cost, Health and Safety regulations and all to comply with the relevant Specification as well as meeting the (production/outfall) consent requirements (Environmental Agency) for the plant.
