Many transport and logistics companies which operate large fleets of vehicles and are committed to safe and responsible management of their transport operations wish to be able to demonstrate this commitment. Accreditation to the Road Transport Management System (RTMS) standards is a way of doing this. My work involves assisting companies in this accreditation process. There are many businesses where management is so focussed on generating revenue and managing costs, that their attention to the occupational health & safety legal compliance of their businesses is wanting. Such businesses could include; offices, shops, schools, colleges, warehousing operations, manufacturing plants, workshops or transport operations. The consequences of relaxing focus on compliance can be considerable and could result, not only in expensive accident costs, but also in fines or even imprisonment for company officials. I offer a service whereby I will maintain this focus for management. Starting with a gap analysis of the existing operation, I will assist management in implementing the required measures to ensure compliance. This can be taken up to OHSAS 18000 compliance level.This will be reinforced by periodic and continuing audits to monitor ongoing compliance and managing the Health & Safety process on behalf of the company.
