Two car fanatics travel the world looking for rust-buckets to restore. Since money is tight, they have to work fast, steal a bargain, and turn a lump of rusty metal back into the iconic sexy cars they used to be. I helped develop this format, found new talent, brought together a team of great P/Ds, many of them self-shooting, and organized a fast turnaround seres in which 6 cars were restored in record time. At Mentorn I developed the factual entertainment series “Dangerous Adventures for Boys” for Channel Five (8 x 45') in which celebrities and their sons undertake dangerous tasks like flying a Spitfire. I executive produced the returning series “Oil Sweat and Rigs” (Discovery US 20 x 60') that went behind the scenes on oil rigs as explosions and hurricanes blasted the Gulf of Mexico, and the tongue-in-cheek conspiracy series, “Strangest UFO Stories” (Discovery UK/Canada 6 x 60'), Big Ideas that Changed the World (10 x 45' for Five) presented by luminaries like Gorbachev and Archbishop Tutu, and the Emmy nominated ‘How William Shatner Changed the World' for History US/Discovery Canada (1 x 120'), as well as ‘Operation Live' , a live surgery show inter-cut (so to speak) with studio discussion (1 x 60'); among other shows.

I produced and directed shows on a range of science stories for the BBC's flagship science strand, 'Horizon', ranging from medical subjects ('Mosquito', the epic tale of the battle against an animal that's killed more humans than any other) to mathematics ('Midas Formula', how an enigmatic code transformed the financial markets and made its inventors unbelievably rich...until it almost destroyed them).
