Worked on implementation of Ontario's wholesale online electricity market and related systems. Implemented PKI identity management system for secure online access. Designed and implemented secure file/report transfer management system for market participants and other stakeholders. Selected and implemented Plumtree Portal and OAM Identity Management system for consolidated online market applications (bidding metering, outage management, etc,), collaboration software and enabled decommissioning of PKI.Worked on team to select and implement Appian cloud based BPMS system which is now being used for online registration, meter trouble reporting, notice of disagreement submissions and prudential management.Helped choose and implement telephony based Contact Control Center software for managing incoming and outgoing calls for operations and IT Support personnel.Various report automation projects.

Geco

Managed all computer services provided to all areas of mine, mill, purchasing, warehouse and maintenance departments. Implemented modernization from IBM System36 midrange and twinaxial cable network to UNIX based and Novell based servers run over fiber optic backbone and CAT 5 network to all locations including underground for Windows and Macintosh clients.Modernized purchasing and maintenance software and introduced first GUI versions of MS Mail, Word, Excel etc. to all users. Also put in centralized uninterruptible battery backed power supplies to servers and centralized file server backup systems.Implemented relational database and GUI management applications for modular training, injury tracking and management, WCB reporting, mill production data, rail shipments, electrical equipment inventory and installation management.Implemented Ingres and Oracle databases for various mine production, purchasing, maintenance and warehouse management.

Geco Division

Managed Metallurgical operations in mill at GECO mine in Manitouwadge Ontario. The mine produced copper lead and zinc concentrates and shipped those products to various smelters in Canada and US. Copper and lead concentrates had significant gold and silver content.Implemented new metallurgical accounting and production systems. Project management on new pressure filters for dewatering of metal concentrates to replace vacuum filters.Worked with Noranda Research to implement new types of sensors and reagent control systems for grinding and flotation sections of mill.
