A year ago I decided to finally retire from all business-related activities. I believe that this was really meant to be, as it has freed me up to focus on my Christian beliefs and commitments – something that has taken an increasing amount of my time and energy over the last few months. As a member of Maltby Salvation Army, in South Yorkshire, I am now heavily involved in religious and community work, and this is giving me an immense amount of satisfaction. I realise that this is something that many of my contacts here on LinkedIn may have some difficulty relating to. However, I hope that most of you will continue to remain friends, even though we will perhaps have less in common, now that I’m no longer involved in entrepreneurship. But I also believe that my change of direction will potentially bring new contacts my way over the coming months. In the meantime, with Christmas just over a week away, I want to wish all of you a peaceful and blessed time, sharing with loved ones and (I trust) remembering the true meaning of this wonderful time of the year.
