Malcolm was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at the University of Bolton from 1992 until his retirement in 2022.He delivered lectures in Geospatial Engineering on all Undergraduate Programmes in the Built Environment (Civil Engineering / Construction & Surveying Groups) and was a Supervisor of final year Dissertations / Projects on both the BEng (Hons) & BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering programmes.Malcolm has been a Professional Reviewer for the ICE and participated in regular "Mock" Reviews and TQUEST Queen's Scholarship Awards for the ICE Northwest. Malcolm was also previously an External Examiner for the HNC Civil & Railway Engineering Programmes at the London South Bank University (LSBU).He was also an External Examiner at Teesside University for the BEng (Hons)Civil Engineering and at Highlands College, Jersey for the HNC Civil Engineering Malcolm's industrial experience was acquired through his progression from Assistant Engineer, Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, to Group Engineer in wastewater infrastructure projects.
