Malcolm has considerable experience in investigations. He spent 36 years in the WA Police Force specialising in fraud and major theft. He undertook training at the FBI National Academy and the Canadian Police College. Mid-career he was responsible for police training introducing tertiary courses for those preparing for Commissioned Officer level. At a senior executive level he was responsible for recruitment and training, finishing his service by implementing a new promotional system. For two years he was contracted by the WA Public Service Commission as an Independent Inquirer and Reviewer. He was approached to become the founding Director HR of a private sector company where he spent some 20 years. He shared work in investigations with the Director Operations. Upon recovery from a serious illness he decided to reestablish his family company. He has recently completed a workshop to better understand current aspects of bullying, harassment and discrimination. In April 2019 he is to attend the US gold standard training institute for workplace investigations and hopes to receive appropriate accreditation.
