Interrelated Social Studies Teacher
Current•Provide history and social studies instruction aligned with district and state standards in a pull-out setting to a range of students with high-incidence exceptionalities grades 9 through 12.•Integrate engagement AVID learning activities into daily lessons in the areas of writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading to increase student achievement.•Collect progress monitoring data on students to measure progress towards goal completion of individualized educational goals.•Schedule and conduct IEP meetings for a caseload of 16 students with a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders to develop data driven goals and accommodations to maximize student success in acquiring the general education.•Maximize the learning potential of each student by providing a high-structure environment, individualizing targets to student abilities, forging mutually respectful relationships, and being aware of students’ needs and backgrounds.
