Malcolm is a Senior Advisor at Sayers and Principal of Grace Park Consulting.Prior to joining Sayers, Malcolm was a Co-Founder of Judo Bank (purpose built as Australia’s first ‘challenger bank’ servicing the financing needs of Small and Medium Enterprises in Australia) where his roles included, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Capital Management Officer, Management Board Member, Asset/Liability Committee Member and Company Secretary. Malcolm was instrumental in developing all of Judo’s foundational agreements and unique corporate structure, attracting global institutional investors whilst fulfilling APRA’s prudential requirements. Malcolm played a critical role in Judo Banks record breaking capital raising's of $540 million in 2018 and 2019, the largest in Australia’s corporate history for a start-up. Judo Bank received a full banking licence from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) in April 2019. In the space of three years, Judo achieved “unicorn status”, achieving a market value more than $1 billion. Prior to Co-Founding Judo Bank, Malcolm had a successful 30-year career as an Investment Banker advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising's, equity / debt capital markets transactions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, business transformations and major projects. Malcolm has advised Australian and multinational clients on transactions with a market value exceeding $100 billion. Malcolm has a breadth of international experience having led M&A departments in Australia and Singapore for Merrill Lynch and globally for ANZ Investment Bank, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, London, and Beijing. Malcolm Co-Founded his own strategic advisory firm in 2006 and was a director of Centaurus Corporate Finance, Australia’s leading M&A firm prior to its acquisition by Merrill Lynch in 1997.
