Malcolm was a Co-Founder of Judo Bank where his roles included, Chief Financial Officer, ChiefCapital Management Officer, Management Board Member, Asset/Liability Committee Member and Company Secretary. Judo Bank was purpose built as Australia’s first ‘challenger bank’ servicing the financing needs of Small and Medium Enterprises in Australia adopting a relationship and credit centric customer value proposition, enabled by technology. Judo Bank raised a total of $540 million in 2018 and 2019, the largest in Australia’s corporate history for a start-up. Judo Bank received a full banking licence from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) in April 2019. In the space of three years, Judo achieved “unicorn status”, achieving a market value more than $1 billion.
