The implementation of Preferred Supplier Agreements, supported by New Operating Processes and appropriate SLA’s and relevant Kpi’s, has allowed the restructure of the operation. Achievements delivered included:• Introduction of Vehicle Tracking to improve the visibility and control of the engineers logistical issues including job sheets, lone worker protection, least cost routing and Health and Safety issues around individuals driving performance• Consolidating our service booking operations into an Outsourced provider we were able to improve the customer service, rationalise our service outlets allowing us to implement target stock holding around preferred brands driving improvements in the Total Cost of parts by circa 5%• Implementation of a new sourcing strategy for both Car and Commercial fleets allowed a full review of all ancillary and support elements delivering savings and cash benefits • Revised sourcing strategy for tyres involving new agreements with both manufacturers and service supplier which was based on Total Cost incorporating evaluation of the new EU tyre ratings • Fixed price service schedules with both Manufacturers and dealer groups• Alternate approach to the delivery, collection and disposal of vehicles• Incorporating a Sustainability focus into the sourcing strategy achieving a 9.75% reduction on CO2 and 9% fuel • Created a master tracking programme and process controls to manage new contracts and renewals including use of Supplier Accreditation, Automatic Contract Extensions, E Auctions and formal Project approval sign off for all major projects encompassing Ethical and Sustainable procurement and Total Cost Benefit calculations -
