Malcolm Johnson has over 18 years of experience in Learning and Development (ETD) environment, with first-hand experience of developing Engineering Graduates, Technicians and Artisans. This involves; Define and analyze training needs/gaps for individuals or groups. Design, develop and revise technical training material, modules and courses as unit standards/modular range requirements and align the training process. Provide theoretical plant and safety awareness training, off-the-job training and assess trainees as per competency requirements. Do on and off the job coaching on various mechanical components and rotational equipment as the need arises. Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Training and Development Policies and Procedures. Quality assures and conducts moderation of Mechanical Engineering, (Engineering graduates, Technicians and technologists and mechanical trades). Provide a partnering and consultation role in Human Resource Management and Labor Planning, Succession and Contingency Planning and Change Management, within his organization. Malcolm is also responsible for statutory and regulatory safety training, that impacts on the organizations primary functions and compliance to external regulatory bodies. He also assists in investigations of incidents relating to HSEQ, Process Safety and reports on lessons learned that impacts on the management of change within PetroSA.
