Assisted in administrative duties-helped design a new writing internship tracker and wrote bios for members of Congress as a point of reference for interns/members. Send thank-you notes and followed up with donors to my fundraising campaign. Wrote letters to members of Congress in support of poverty-reduction legislation and related issues.

Raised over $800 for the organization on my own by persuading friends, family, and members of my community for donations that supported poverty-reduction efforts. Attended a lobbying meeting with a staffer for Representative Suzanne Bonamici on behalf of poverty-reduction and women's empowerment legislation. Spoke to the city council of Portland on behalf of protecting Afghan allies and refugees. Taught over 100 people how to call and email Congress.
