I learned almost everything I know from comic books. No, not the ones with superheroes. I mean collections of comics such as Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side, truly brilliant works that taught me that you can trick yourself into learning a formidable amount of knowledge if the material is engaging enough.I am a writer by nature. It is my art and my profession. I can write anything from a sci-fi novel to an instruction manual on how to set up your coffee maker. No matter what it is, I'll do it with energy and enthusiasm, because I simply love to do it.I primarily work in digital media broadcasting, so I often find myself integrating my writing abilities with my technical skills. Producing, directing, and editing all involve knowing how to tell a story. One of my more unusual talents is stop-motion animation. I am highly skilled at animation, set design, character design and photography. I am also a master at capturing frame-by-frame dynamic motion.One philosophy I live by is if you enjoy something, you will be naturally inclined to spend more time doing it, and as a result you will get very good at doing what you love. If you truly want to devote your time to something, whatever it may be, don't dismiss it as silly; practice it, hone it, and use the skills you learn to advance yourself and your career.
