At Harvest Earnings Inc., we established novel ventures to improve performance through consultancy. Our client resources and I saved 35 companies billions of dollars in manufacturing, overhead, purchasing, and supply chain functions, and oversaw the transformation of seven US factories through unique manufacturing methods.Integrating over 15 years of success in product manufacturing with a proprietary 100-day “speed ideation” process, I inspire companies to analyze day-to-day activities to facilitate the generation of over 500 performance-improving ideas per organization. Every project is analyzed by seasoned consulting professionals and assigned a dollar value, risk rating, and potential savings amount.Satisfied Harvest Earnings Inc. customer testimonials include:“I’ve never seen such an efficient process that gave me complete visibility to the business over the 100-day process, especially at monthly steering committee (board) meetings.” -Birdseye CEO, Neil Harrison“The ideation sessions revealed aspects of our factory operation that we simply were not aware could save tens of thousands of dollars.” -Schwan Foods factory managers and Schwan Foods CEO, Bob WaldronOur service doesn’t end there. We continue the culture change journey for two years after the 100-day process concludes by conducting on-site or virtual monthly status meetings to monitor progress and growth metrics. Los Angeles, California
Applying my juice industry production and marketing expertise, we grew Pressed Juicery LLC into a national retail brand with 100 bicoastal stores. Recruiting medical board advisors and collaborators via Johns Hopkins, UCLA, and The American Heart Association ensured superior quality on all product and process development and technical concerns. In collaboration with the team, we grew revenues to tens of millions of dollars by capturing locations near offices or gyms with a high footfall. Social media postings bolstered market awareness inspiring customer lines circling the block on new store grand opening days. Selling to the Walmart Family Trust (Madrone Capital) for tens of millions of dollars in 2018 validated the success of the team’s efforts through a profitable transaction. Today, with revenue of around $100 million and double-digit profit margins, the sky is the limit for Pressed Juicery LLC! • Pom Wonderful
    Senior Vice President
    Pom Wonderful Dec 2006 - Dec 2012
    Los Angeles
With 100% pomegranate juice becoming a worldwide sensation, I eagerly joined the aseptic beverage industry in managing a 45-acre production facility with 20 square miles of pomegranate trees, five factories, and a team of 5,000 operations and engineering specialists, project managers, production workers, and Q&A staff. The team and I utilized Toyota LEAN techniques in problem-solving and co-packer relationship transformation to drive business growth while launching Food Bars, POM Pills, and coffee product lines. Fostering tens of millions of dollars in operational cost savings and 15% revenue growth through the installation of high-speed aseptic filler, our operation became the lowest cost and highest margin producer. Maximizing output by building a fresh-cut fruit factory and a $20 million aseptic beverage factory, we saved millions of dollars annually, closed six co-packing facilities, and tripled the 2010 fresh arils revenue.Serving in a leadership role during a pomegranate juice revolution offered a once-in-a-lifetime, second-to-none experience in product development and process innovation. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with a diversely talented group of professionals in achieving the next level of success for PomWonderful LLC.
  • Ehs Partners
    Managing Director
    Ehs Partners Jun 2006 - Dec 2006
Sometimes little things mean a lot! For example, launching SteamCuisine in the UK at Marks and Spencers created a new category. It involved the use of a steam valve, which in the microwave vented steam and therefore resulted in fresh crisp vegetables of higher quality. This technology was protected globally, but when Birds Eye wanted to create a similar SteamFresh™, we used a perforated film-covered side dish, which not only replicated the valve system, but shaved off the few seconds it takes consumers to punch holes in microwaveable packages before heating. The team’s execution of this “small change” resulted in BIG revenue gains (hundreds of millions of dollars) and a significant profit improvement for our client, Birds Eye Foods.Capturing tens of millions of dollars in cost savings by modeling the success of SteamFresh™, I employed client-functional teams to implement 300 projects. Each project included an accountable person, KPIs, timelines, progress reviews, and savings targets to measure results and optimize productivity.I gleaned valuable leadership and manufacturing process improvement skills at EHS Partners which prepared me for my next role as a senior executive for new product development at POMWonderful LLC.
  • The Kraft Heinz Company
    Head Of European Transformation
The Kraft Heinz Company Jan 1997 - Dec 2006
    Hayes, Middlesex
HJ Heinz acquiring United Biscuits PLC plunged me into a corporate acquisition early in my career. Landing the role of Technical Integration Leader established the foundation for on-my-feet thinking and firsthand experiences in the food industry. Collaborating with a team of 5 direct reports, I drove improvements, integrations, and implementations of technical policies, procedures, KPIs, and factory audit processes at six locations. My first lessons in continuous improvement occurred on the job as we engaged LEAN stage-gate processes from concept to launch with legal and food manufacturing teams. Meeting with retailers and brokers to strike deals and expand the distribution, we spearheaded the procurement of hundreds of millions of dollars during HP Heinz’s acquisition of HP Sauces. Our efforts garnered millions of pounds in turnover in the Heinz-branded sandwich and salad business and inspired me to pursue a career in food product development, which ultimately led to roles in senior leadership and an entrepreneurial debut! Parlaying my operational experience into a director role, I controlled a multi-million dollar budget and oversaw the business transformation of 38 European factories while supervising 12 direct reports. My retailer and broker negotiation skills easily transitioned into managing M&A projects and growth initiatives. Together with the marketing team, I conducted consumer insight research to garner a 250%+ return on capital employed (ROCE) in the chilled food business supplier arena. Delivering tens of millions of dollars in operating income, we reduced the number of people in 10 production lines from 15 to two by designing and building a multi-million dollar robotic salad and sandwich machine while implementing up to 50 projects in each factory. Our collective efforts culminated in a Chairperson’s Imperative Award for Measure, Performance, and Risk Tolerance.
