Use of engineering drawings to troubleshoot and repair discrepancies was required. Air force technical orders (TO's) were also used for reference. Familiarization with ISO9000 was required. Quality management was used as an everyday process. Use of the CMMS system for material tracking and logistics was central to daily tasks. Unix knowledge was needed to perform Engineering change orders to the visual databases and real-time software. Ability to modify, move or change visual databases and model files. Performed Morning Readiness, Preventative Maintenance, and if applicable, a visual alignment on all training devices. Assisted in maintaining 15 full motion Simulators. Use of engineering drawings to troubleshoot and repair discrepancies was required. I was put in charge of visual database verification to bring Flight Safety Wilmington up to compliance with Part 60 visual scene requirements that were new at the time. Interpretation of engineering drawings was required to install new electrical systems. Conduit bending and installing conduit (pipe or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas also fastening to the wall small metal or plastic boxes for switches and outlets. Pulling insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between these boxes. Installing Romex wire to outlets, lights, fixtures, etc. Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Using testing equipment, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to check the circuits for proper connections, ensuring electrical compatibility and safety of components. Installed coaxial or fiber optic cable for computers and other telecommunications equipment. Worked at heights. Trained in stick welding. Work was performed under the strict safety standards of DuPont.

The Replacement and repair of communication and navigation equipment on 10 MH-53E helicopters in accordance with the maintenance regulations and schematic diagrams. Supervised the line division which was responsible for the handling of the aircraft. Awarded the Navy Achievement medal for exceptional management of the plane captain program. Qualified as a Functional Check Flight or (FCF) crew chief. As an FCF crew chief I was responsible for running vibration analysis on the Helicopter to achieve a "safe for flight" status. Assisted maintenance in mechanical adjustments of the main and tail rotors, Flight control linkages, hydraulic systems and three T-64 turbo-shaft engines.
