Both independently and as part of a team I worked to maintain the appearance of the estate, achieved by adhering to a weekly schedule to ensure the grassed and wooded areas were kept to a high standard. I was also tasked with clearing debris from residential areas of estate and through roads. Other responsibilities included the maintenance and reparation of hand tools and machinery as well as periodic stock taking amidst construction projects, in order to avoid a surplus of materials.

Operated both individually and as part of a team to extract diseased and “rogue” potatoes amongst the crops, thus maximising the chances of the crop passing inspection and maintaining its grade and value. This involved keeping to a strict schedule in order to cover all crops and beat inspection deadlines. I also took part in the process of potato dressing, which consisted of removing diseased seed potatoes to prevent the spread of rot through the crop during storage, as well as repairing and maintaining damaged potato containers.
