Qualified ACMA Accountant, responsible for team of over 500 staff (360 UK / 140 India) providing TPA outsourced. finance related services (Cash and Treasury Management, Reconciliations - Client and Assets, Financial Reporting) to over 60 Financial Service Companies supporting UK , European and Global investment products and solutions.Current focus for my Group is addressing the challenges and operational impact of PS14/9, specifically focusing on CASS 6,7,and 9 of the new FCA regulations and their impact on Client Assets, Client Money and CMAR reporting.I was product sponsor for the organisations CASS programme of activity with our Management Company clients and CF10A's to ensure we were able to meet and deliver a fully FCA compliant proposition and operating model and ensure our systems could support this implementation. The company have achieved this through open dialogue and mutual agreement with our members and we have and continue to run consultation workshops to achieve this.We have been in regular dialogue with the FCA,TISA, the IA and the TA Forum to ensure our views are heard and understood.We are also working with our audit partners to ensure our new policies and procedures are understood and we have presented a Position Statement to both audit firms and Management Companies on how we have interpreted the new regulations and how we will comply. We are currently implementing a CASS Advancement Programme which is intended to deliver additional functionality to our existing systems, enhance quality control, and reduce manual processes. I have recent taken on a role as Chair for the TA Forum Settlements Working Group, which is focused on increasing the level of automated payments solution in the Asset Management industry and also working on a reduction programme to phase out cheques.
