Ensured full environmental compliance of three RCRA treatment / transfer facilities (Rancho Cordova, CA, Phoenix, AZ, and Sherwood, OR) and two transportation facilities (Benicia, CA and Coalinga, CA). Introduced to the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) the concept of allowing alternative waste acceptance procedures, which were subsequently accepted by the DTSC and was the model for operations at all permitted hazardous waste facilities owned by CWM resulting in a cost savings in analytical services, labor, and materials.Successfully negotiated, without recourse, the replacement of a DTSC assigned RCRA permit writer with a more composed and amenable staff member.Served as a key CWM management interface during the assessment / acquisition of RCRA/TSCA and Solid Waste facilities in northern California.Supported, developed, and coordinated permit applications and programs including RCRA permit renewal applications, permit modifications, SPCC Plans, Industrial Storm Water Discharge permits, etc.Provided internal environmental auditing functions and served as a resource for issue prevention (including meeting and collaborating with local, state regulatory agencies to discuss issues that affect CWM and the hazardous waste industry).
