This two-year contract saw many major developments. Part of this role was to support the Australian National Maritime Museum Foundation and the American Friends of the Australian National Maritime Museum – two separate but controlled entities.Achievements• Revamp of the landmark Welcome Wall with new pricing and tax deductibility increasing revenue by 300% - from $60,000 to $180,000 pa.• Building the corporate sponsorship program in terms of the amount of support and the resilience through multiyear agreements – welcoming new sponsors such as Commonwealth Super, Tyrrells Wines and New Limited with innovative offerings to their members, customers and clients.• Creating new philanthropic programs to better target philanthropic dollars (Capitan’s Circle and Migration Heritage Fund) as well as a focused program looking at grant opportunities. Securing pipeline funds for three years and a closer relationship to key donors.• Development of an updated IT system to plan for an improved CRM which integrated across the Museum – though membership, ticket sales, merchandise invitations etc. Previous management saw many standalone systems • Revising the Member program to better serve the Membership group and increase the revenue to the Museum including the extension of reciprocal benefits with other institutions. • Introduced the first major fundraising event – Inaugural Gala Dinner netting over $100,000 after costs and attracting 200 opinion leaders key to future support.• Introducing major crowd source funding program – first of its kind on Charidy platform for major Sydney activity• Secured reciprocal relationships for Members to attend other major cultural institutions such as Questacon. -
