I am a genetic scientist trained in developmental, cancer, and evolutionary models. While earning my BS in Biology I interned in three different research labs studying evolutionary and developmental biology. I presented my findings at national and regional conferences from each research experience. On campus, I did research in triple negative breast cancer for 6 semesters, co-authoring 2 publications and earning the AACR Bardos Award. After graduating, I began my doctoral studies in biomedical sciences, specializing in genetics and epigenetics. I have been researching reproductive tract development in mouse, bat, and lizard model systems. I have co-authored 2 publications and published twice as a first author. Along the way, I have earned certification from courses in leadership and gene regulatory networks.I am open to many career paths, and I am primarily interested in doing anything I can to further therapeutics and biotechnology for the betterment of the human condition. Throughout my academic journey, I have been awarded for my scholastic performance, public speaking, and community service. I have represented my colleagues as graduate student association president and treasurer. My drive and diligent focus have been two of my most valuable attributes over time, and I believe with those attributes and more I could be a beneficial addition to any team.
