I retired as Engineering Director of Ford Motor Company in 2006. After retirement I became a non executive Director of MIRA, a Trustee of the Smallpeice Trust and was also actively involved with Cranfield University, Bradford University and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.Now in 2018 I have wound these activities down in favour of people with more recent experience.I am still very involved in local village activities and politics.I am fit and in good health, so spend half the winter skiing, visit several festivals in the RV over the summer and my DIY skills have earned me more respect from my sons than a forty year career in the automobile industry ever did.How did I ever find time for a job ?2020 Still active and healthy. C19 is a pain but has been good for the garden and DIY. Hope the 2021 skiing season is not wrecked. Greetings to old colleagues.
