DraftKings has become one of the world’s leading daily fantasy sports platforms and a preeminent sports and entertainment company changing the way fans engage with sports. As Head of Strategy and Corporate Development and member of the company’s senior leadership team, Turner leads the strategy, M&A, strategic alliances, and special projects team globally.

Spearheaded/implemented important Vanderbilt Athletics firsts. Served as a valued partner resource to Southeastern Conference leadership and its media rights negotiation on behalf of member institutions.- Led creation of a new Strategic Plan for Athletics with cross-campus partners and stakeholders, integrating it with the key tenets of the University’s Academic Strategic Plan.- Led creation of a new corresponding Master Facilities Plan as a key underlying and complementary driver of the Strategic Plan for Athletics- Launched a first of its kind multi-million-dollar university matching funds campaign- Received a $5M donation (total donation: $10M with match) to upgrade Men’s Basketball lockerroom- Ignited fundraising momentum such as the first football locker room project in 25+ years- Created new program alumni engagement vehicles in support of future growth- Launched new department staff review / development capabilities- Led implementation of numerous micro-level/building block changes, such as enhancing athlete students’ training table to better meet nutrition needs, renovating the Olympic sports weight room, replacing the scoreboard at the tennis center as a fan service/ game production enhancement, augmenting the fan experience at Vanderbilt Stadium (football) with improved sound speakers, concession offerings, new water stations installation, etc.- Enhanced game production opportunities on the SEC Network to provide for a more engaging in-game fan experience by enhancing control room capabilities- Launched “Celebration of Champions” platform to honor Men’s Basketball SEC-title winning teams and extend platform to other alumni recognition programs- Secured university approval for widespread implementation of alcoholic beverages sales at football, basketball, baseball game (with family-friendly protections)- Enhanced former student athletes’ recognition by launching a Homecoming “welcome back” brunch platform and town hall programming.
