Based in Hong Kong and working with member firms comprising over 500 partners and 8,000 staff in 17 countries, my responsibilities spanned the geography from Pakistan to New Zealand. A partner in Grant Thornton for 15 years, prior to new global challenges on GTI secondment my ultimate UK role was Managing Partner of London & the South East practice. I also served on Grant Thornton UK’s National Leadership Board, heading strategy and markets. My practice management experience included major restructuring and performance improvement, strategic M&A, external funding and gaining efficiencies through outsourcing. I created also a notable track record of developing new leaders.

After training as an auditor, my earlier career as an accountant spanned forensic accounting, transaction support and capital markets work. Latterly I returned to assurance where (at GT) I was lead partner for key professional services clients such as KPMG and Eversheds in the UK.
