My whole working life has been spent within Financial Services, however it is with Advice/Financial Planning that I’ve discovered how much of a difference I/we can make to those clients that we work with. As a result my ‘job’ has turned into something that gives me great satisfaction on a day to day basis– I actually don’t mind turning up at the office every day. I also have the privilege of working with a fantastic team of likeminded people who are all working hard to put our clients in the best possible position. I’ve come to realise over the years that what we do is firstly to understand our clients and what is important to them, then we work to give them confidence. Confidence that they are not making mistakes and confidence that they are doing everything they can to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. When times get tough as they invariably do we are there to give our clients the confidence they need to stick to their long term plan, to make sure they stay on track. And then over time, what a pleasure it is to be around when our clients achieve one or more of their goals, we get to share the happiness and the sense of satisfaction they are experiencing. Away from the office I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, and in particular watching my three daughters become confident young women as they build their own careers and relationships. I’m also trying to explore more of the world, all whilst still squeezing in enough time on the golf course to perhaps see some improvement in my handicap.
