I am always excited to connect with like minded leaders in the manufacturing arena and share information on current trends, new technology, and ways to improve productivity.My career began as a Chemical Engineer working in Process Engineering for propellant granulation, solvent recovery, and finishing processes of solvent-based products for BAE Systems, Inc. My career progressed upwards into roles as a Production Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Director of Manufacturing for BAE Systems, accountable for seven facilities and over 600 employees involved in the manufacture of energetics for the US Army.To optimize progress, I formed a Product Management Team and separated it from general manufacturing processes so they could concentrate on timely responding to customers and secure mutually satisfying purchase contracts. I implemented lean manufacturing concepts and practices, improved data tracking and established KPIs across manufacturing with regular meetings to discuss operating metrics and proactively address any issues.I’m involved in the decision and implementation processes for plant modernization projects with the goal of improving production capacity.I take an insightful, pragmatic approach to solving problems and have acquired serious skills as a negotiator.I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi and professional training in leadership and lean manufacturing.
