Managed the successful implementation of a key system for a Family Nurse Partnership national unit. The system was developed using Agile (SCRUM) methodology and is now being used by 600 users across 60 sites including Community NHS Trusts, charitable and private organisations. Key responsibilities included:• Supporting the unit in a procurement exercise and subsequent system implementation• Providing key project documentation including Project Plans, Highlight Reports, Project Board papers, Finance Reports (for an 800k budget) and Project Workbooks, which includes Risk and Issue Logs, Action Logs and Decision Logs. Cutover planning is now underway• Managing project team including eight workstream leads including change, communications, training, testing and data migration (13 years’ worth of data was migrated)

Managed a number of key projects including the implementation of a £7m Electronic Document Management system implementation (Evolve) to over 3000 users. Responsible for the implementation of a key programme of work for a musculoskeletal service that included a number of clinical and digital projects. This included the production of a business case to a value of over £2m for funding for a SystmOne implementation, outsourced printing, Electronic Referral System and patient appointment reminders. Also responsible for a number of key service improvement projects including the centralisation of medical records, 7 Day Service and a Mortality and Morbidity project.

Maidstone

Spearheaded two key programmes for clinical IT and corporate systems, which consisted of 16 projects including an Electronic Document Management system (EDM), nursing observations and doctors’ handover system and a finance systems upgrade. Managed the implementation of a complex, IT Workstream as part of a significant change programme for two major Kent Trusts, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Employed on consultancy basis:• November 2013 – March 2014): Led the migration of 5000 users from local email to NHSmail solution• April 2013 – March 2014): Led the implementation of Clinical Correspondence project; Sending 7500 outpatient letters and discharge summaries per week electronically to 75 East Sussex GP practices; Part of local GP initiative with an associated income target of £1 million for Trust• June 2012 – October 2013: Led the implementation of PACS/RIS/Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) replacement programme (Philips/ HSS/ Acuo); System rolled out to 1000 users across seven main sites; Project budget of £0.5 million. Included successful migration of 15 years of Radiology data• October 2011 – June 2012: Led the implementation of an electronic Pathology Order Communications solution (Sunquest ICE); Successful outcome of 8000 requests being made electronically per week• March 2011 – September 2011: Led the IM&T workstream as Programme Lead for an integration programme for the merger of acute and community provider organisations• January 2009 - March 2011: Main project lead for ESHT on a £20m Radiotherapy development project

Employed on consultancy basis:• September 2010 – March 2011: Senior project lead on a pan Sussex Community and Child Health procurement using a competitive dialogue process. The implementation project will have a budget of £5m and will be rolled out to over 5000 users; leading the IM&T workstream as Programme Lead for an integration programme for the merger of 3 community provider organisations • April 2010 – August 2010: Senior project lead on a portfolio of projects totalling nearly £500k for local NHS acute and community organisations. These included a PCT file server consolidation, two Pharmacy systems upgrades (Ascribe and JAC) and a prison PAS systems upgrade (TPP SystmOne)• September 2009 – March 2010: Senior project lead for the upgrade of a PAS system (Oasis Medical Solutions (OMS)). System was rolled out to 2000 users across three organisations; budget of £1m; management of ten work stream leads. These included Technical, Training and Testing.• August 2008 – August 2009: Senior project lead for the consolidation of four PAS systems (into PIMS 1.85, iSOFT) and two clinical systems (eCPA, Ascribe) across over 200 sites to approximately 4000 users for a pan Sussex mental health organisation; budget of £3m.• June 2006 – July 2008Senior Project Lead for the deployment of the Care Records Service, which was a significant element of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT) in East Sussex across acute, community and primary care settings. System (Cerner Millennium) would have been rolled out to over 5000 users.
