    Experience of developing and implementing Strategic and Operational Plans. I was responsible for the development of major policies including Acquisition and Disposal, Human Remains, Collections Care and Documentation. Contributed to Renaissance North West Business Plan in areas relevant to both the Museum and the wider region, in particular programmes which connect audiences and users with collections.I was responsible for the Collections Development Team covering wide variety of roles including conservation, documentation, new media and community engagement working with target audiences across the city.I was responsible for successful applications for funding and subsequent delivery of a range of projects to improve access to collections through documentation, improved storage and interpretation relevant to audiences. This included Collective Conversations, winner of the MLA Inspiring North West Awards 2006 for Innovation. This project brought together audiences, community groups and specialists to explore their knowledge of the collection and issues relating to the Museum's exhibition programme. These conversations were filmed and archived as part of the documentation system as well as broadcast online. I have also managed projects in partnership with other museums within Manchester, nationally with the Petrie Museum, University College London and internationally with the Royal Ontario Museum, Canada.I regularly lectured on the University of Manchester's Art Gallery and Museum Studies Masters programme on topics ranging from policy development, human remains, collections management and digital heritage.
