I am a successful law firm leader with particular expertise in strategy. I trained as a solicitor in the City of London and then became legal counsel at the American Multinational, Gillette, providing legal advice on a wide range of matters throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. I joined Michelmores in 1989, and as Head of the Business Group advised on all forms of corporate finance work relating to mergers and acquisitions, and a broad range of corporate and commercial work. I then became the first Managing Partner at Michelmores in 2008 and stood down after ten years in April 2018. Under my leadership the turnover of the firm grew in ten years from £11m to £39m. I have appeared in The Lawyer Hot 100 and attended the Leadership in Law Firms course at Harvard University.In February 2021 I took on a new challenge in Muscat as CEO of Oman’s leading law firm - SASLO.I also have extensive experience of operating in China and I am a consultant to Yangtze Law - the first UK regulated ABS law firm owned by Chinese lawyers.Specialties: Management, China, strategy, corporate law
