Malcolm has lived and worked in Pakistan for the last ten years, where he found, learnt and practiced a form of street photography known in this region as ‘Ruh Khitch’. He began to photograph minority communities including Christians and transvestites, who are among the most disenfranchised of Pakistan's poor and how the environment is impacting on their lives.He was recently shortlisted for the Prix Pictet 2008 (the new international photographic award on the theme of sustainability - see www.prixpictet.com) for his work ‘ganda nallah’ (a short history of water in the Punjab) which was exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris. His work is featured in Contemporary Annual 08 (www.contemporary-magazine.com).
