Managed White Rose field activities including; SeaRose FPSO operations, development and exploration drilling, development projects, reservoir management, exploration, business development and finance.• Member of five-person Executive Committee that set Husky’s strategy and objectives and managed business performance against clearly defined metrics.• Improved Atlantic Region’s HSE performance by focusing on process safety and risk assessment.• Improved SeaRose uptime through increased focus on asset integrity, training and competency and improved operations management. SeaRose achieved over 96% uptime from 2014 to 2017.• Maintained Atlantic Region profitability and free cash flow throughout 2014 downturn by reducing headcount, improving efficiency and drilling six development and infill wells to maintain production. • Developed an Area Development Plan (ADP) to focus resources on White Rose near and far field tie-back opportunities. ADP led to drilling of North West White Rose discovery well in 2017, successful bids for adjacent acreage and a programme of appraisal wells to be drilled over next five years.• Managed two-year deferral of $3 billion West White Rose Extension project from December 2014 until re-sanction and start-up in May 2017. Project comprises of a concrete gravity structure, drilling and production topsides and extensive modifications and additions to the field’s sub-sea infrastructure. First oil is scheduled for early 2022.• As chairman of Petroleum Research Newfoundland & Labrador, guided successful Ocean Supercluster application for federal funding through its Innovation Supercluster Initiative. • Actively participated in Newfoundland & Labrador government’s Oil and Gas Industry Council that was established to improve the province’s competitiveness.

Responsible for Atlantic Region project and business development activities for White Rose field and exploration acreage.• Managed South White Rose Extension (SWRX) project from FEED to start-up. Project completed successfully in two years and provided additional production and gas storage capacity.• Managed West White Rose Extension project FEED and developed innovative contracting and labour relations strategies to improve productivity and quality.• Oversaw several development concept studies in support of exploration wells and gas development.

Managed Petrofac Energy Developments’ major projects and studies.• Managed completion of Cendor field Phase 2 development FEED and EPIC negotiations for award of FPSO conversion and wellhead platform contracts. • Participated in Berantai field Malaysian Risk Service Contract negotiations and managed FEED for gas FPSO, wellhead platform and tie-ins to Petronas’ Angsi field.• Member of team that won competitive lump sum bid for provision of Petronas’ Sepat field’s Mobile Offshore Production Unit and FPSO.• Reviewed Gateway Project FEED. Gateway is a potential gas storage project located in the UK’s East Irish Sea.

Managed new business development activities for Africa and Middle East in line with strategic and portfolio management objectives.• Concluded joint technical study with Sonatrach that recommended further $1 billion investment for development of Algerian El Gassi, Zotti and El Agreb fields and led commercial negotiations.• Managed technical and commercial evaluations of Iraq’s first and second licensing rounds.• Led farm-out of Egyptian West Med offshore gas development project.• Evaluated and recommended several company and asset acquisitions.

Managed SE Asia expansion to enable the start-up of gas production from the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area, development of the Sinphuhorm field in Thailand and the Pangkah and Jambi Merang fields in Indonesia. The recruitment and training of local project, operations and support personnel and the development of policies and procedures were critical to success. Sub-surface, technical and support functions were also upgraded to support transition from non-operated to operated business.Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development AreaOversaw safe and efficient start-up of Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA), Block A-18 Phase 1 production facilities and ramp-up of sales gas capacity to 430 mmscfd. Developed concept for Phase 2 increase in MTJDA's sales gas capacity from 430 mmscfd to 870 mmscfd. Managed CarigaliHess' safe and efficient execution of drilling and EPC contracts. Phase 2 expansion project successfully completed in Q1 2008. Sinphuhorm Gas Field Development, ThailandConcluded Sinphuhorm Gas Sales Agreement negotiations with the Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) and managed partner relationships with PTTEP, ExxonMobil and Apico.Oversaw the FEED, drilling and engineering, procurement and construction management contracts that resulted in completion of all wells and facilities less than 15 months after GSA signature. Supervised safe and efficient start-up of production in November 2006.Pangkah Field Development, IndonesiaOversaw award and execution of drilling and EPC contract awards for Phase 1 development.Supervised safe and efficient start-up of production in April 2007.Managed Pangkah Phase 2 development project. Jambi Merang Fields Development, IndonesiaSecured approvals for and managed development project for the Jambi Merang gas fields, onshore South Sumatra, Indonesia.

As asset manager for all Algerian activities, managed the start-up of the El Gassi, Zotti and El Agreb fields rehabilitation project. Established SonaHess joint venture company with Sonatrach to take over field operations from Sonatrach from October 2000. Recruited 90 expatriate staff during creation of SonaHess’ HSE, Operations, Drilling, Sub-surface Engineering, Finance, Logistics and Projects departments and re-assigned around 250 Sonatrach secondees to these departments.Increased production from 26,000 bopd to over 60,000 bopd within four years. Major activities included;• Acquisition of 1,000km2 3D high-resolution seismic survey. • Drilling 28 new development wells, working over six wells and fracture treating a further ten wells.• Major facilities upgrade works, including new separation and flare systems at all three fields, early gas injection and infrastructure projects including offices, warehouses and accommodation units.• Completed FEED contract for El Gassi field miscible gas flood project. Managed international bidding and secured Hess and Sonatrach approvals for $700 million EPC contract award.Responsible for the Block 401c exploration programme. A 650km 2D seismic survey was completed in 2001 and two exploration wells were drilled in 2003. A further 570km of 2D seismic was acquired in early 2004 and two exploration/appraisal wells were drilled in Q3 2004. The Bir El M’sana Field was delineated by these wells and was subsequently developed.Managed relationships with the Ministry of Energy, Sonatrach and local authorities.

Oversaw the safe and efficient installation, hook-up, commissioning, and start-up of the Sable Project’s three offshore platforms and export pipeline. This required direct supervision of the works and management of relationships with the Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board and Lloyds Register of Shipping, the Certifying Authority. • Co-ordinated installation, pipelaying, hook-up, drilling and commissioning activities for project’s Thebaud, Venture and North Triumph fields. • Supervised offshore start-up of gas production that led to first gas exports prior to end-1999. • Participated in the close-out of operational, engineering and contractual aspects of the project.

Managed all exploration, development and production activities for the Lundin operated Block PM-3 Commercial Arrangement Area between Malaysia and Vietnam. Directed Phase I development's construction, installation, drilling, hook-up, commissioning and oil production start-up. Phase I comprised a not normally manned lightweight platform and a leased FPSO. The project was completed within a very tight schedule and substantially under budget.Led Phase II project subsurface, engineering and contracting activities for a multi-platform and FPSO integrated oil and gas development (250 mmscfd and 40,000 bopd). Due to the economic downturn in SE Asia, Phase II was deferred in mid-1999 and Lundin sold its interest in the project. The new operator subsequently implemented Phase II as originally planned.Managed relationships with Petronas and PetroVietnam. Led Gas Sales Agreement negotiations and secured Petronas and PetroVietnam's approvals for the Phase II Development Plan.

Responsible for exploration & production, power generation, gas distribution and business development activities in Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia.• Oversaw Bongkot field's production increase from 250 to 350 mmscfd and represented British Gas in gas sales negotiations to increase sales to 550 mmscfd.• Established PTT Natural Gas Distribution (PTT NGD) joint venture distribution company with the Petroleum Authority of Thailand and Tractebel to supply gas to large industrial customers in and around Bangkok. Appointed Board Member of PTT NGD.• Led bidding for 320 and 640MW power stations in the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand’s (EGAT) first independent power producer (IPP) bid round. • Developed excellent working relationships with PTT, PTTEP, EGAT, local authorities and partners.

Managed all offshore hook-up, commissioning, drilling, production and logistics activities for the Miskar field. Co-ordinated the final construction and commissioning of the Hannibal Gas Processing Plant. Established Operations Department to support gas production activities. Negotiated with ETAP (Tunisian NOC) and numerous state and civil authorities on technical approvals and commercial agreements.

Conducted detailed technical and commercial discussions with the Government of Kazakhstan during Production Sharing Contract (PSC) negotiations and developed agreement that enabled production to continue during negotiations. Managed well rehabilitation activities and secured a well that had blown out. Reviewed Project's Development Plan and identified several capital and operating cost reductions.

Responsible for all onshore and offshore field activities for Rough Gas Storage Project and Amethyst field production.• Reduced direct operating costs by 20% through the implementation of the new Maintenance Philosophy developed when Facilities Engineering Manager.• Overhauled Safety Case and reduced modifications budget from $45 million to less than $10 million, mainly by securing DTI agreement for an interim manned status for the Rough 47/8A platform.

Supervised a multi-discipline team of 40 engineers supporting; ongoing operations, major modifications, feasibility studies and design projects.• Developed and introduced a new subsea and topside Maintenance Philosophy, based on the latest techniques; e.g. condition monitoring, reliability centred maintenance and availability modelling.• Member of a four-man team that reviewed the Morecambe field's operations and recommended savings that reduced its direct operating cost from $100 million to $50 million.• Led one-month review of Armada Project's Conceptual Design, making recommendations that reduced the Project’s estimated capital cost from $1,370 million to $970 million. The Project was successfully completed within this reduced budget.• Represented British Gas on UKOOA Operations Committee and board member of Montrose Fire and Emergency Training Centre.
