As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for fintech startup Andaria, I am responsible for establishing and maintaining an organization's vision, strategy, and programs to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This includes ensuring that the institution is in line with all its regulatory requirements from an information security and data protection perspective, while also following and implementing industry best practices to optimise its levels of security while remaining operational efficient.

I created the Malta Virtual Mall platform along with my partner Marc Tabone Ferrante, enabling visitors to view all local online shops currently in operation by browsing through categories or simply using our custom search to look for shops, items or key words.

I aim to secure and protect the infrastructure of the company ensuring that all assets are sufficiently handled according to the principle of least privilege and are secured from outsiders.

Moving on from my previous position, I will now be focusing on further improving the Incident Management process within the organisation, as well as developing the Problem Management process from the ground up for the organisation.Once the Incident Management process is complete and fully matured, and the Problem Management process is also complete and ready for implementation, i will be moving on to a position more focused on Information Security.

All the responsibilities associated with the previous role of managing the Systems Analyst team, providing IT support to the business and preparing reports for upper management, with the added responsibility of carrying out all Incident Management related processes and tasks in line with ITIL guidelines. This included the creation and setting up of a formal Incident Management process as part of activities intended on standardising IT operations globally, across the entire Phoenix group, as well as maintaining these processes and enforcing them across the board.I was also part of a team that set up a Service Desk tool for the entire organisation. This task ranged from the strategy and design of the different ticket types that can be raised, such as Incidents and Service Requests, as well as the implementation and testing of the system prior to the go-live date.I have also began planning for the implementation of Problem Management within the organisation in order to follow up on recurring incidents and determining the true root cause, along with implementing a solution.

Responsibilities associated with the previous Systems Analyst role, as well as the management of the System Analysts team including setting up of on-call rosters, training, providing leadership, monitoring performance and daily/weekly reporting.

Developing intimate knowledge of the company's end-to-end systems and associated technical environments and transmitting that knowledge to other team members.Supporting the company's systems by providing technical support to all users.Undertaking thorough incident management including the investigation, replication, identification qualification and follow up of all incidents that may arise.Supporting remote development and infrastructure resources in respect of the management, maintenance, and upgrades of the company's end to end system.Participating in the deployment of new components and upgrades to the company's systems.Rigorously testing new components before they are deployed to the company's systems.Providing solutions (including tools and/or procedures) to Operations to facilitate in tackling of new defects arising from using the company's systems.

Administration and implementation of a number of different facets of the company's IT infrastructure including virtualisation by means of VMWare, Windows systems administration, SharePoint server creation and administration, SQL server creation, implementation and administration, as well as IT-related support to company systems and employees.
