Responsible for the leadership and development of a staff, and a workforce which exceeded 300 associates and managers, occupying a 1.4 million square foot facility with an inventory value over $20 million. I maintained one of the lowest equipment, payroll, and building maintenance costs in the company, while ensuring that all processes, practices and procedures were conducted safely and efficiently. My multi-shift operation was configured to support retail operations and exceed customer satisfaction of delivered merchandise. I actively promoted diversity at all levels, advancing the best leadership talent available. I emphasized community involvement as a way of strengthening our relationship with local government and non-profit organizations. I lead a standalone Distribution Center with over 200 employees; shipping and transferring over 3,300 pieces of furniture, daily. The charlotte distribution operation was a multi-shift operation which also included several satellite warehouse locations. Together the facilities held over $10 million in inventory and covered over 700,000 square feet of warehouse space. I spearheaded an effort to positively impact our social presence in the community by encouraging and developing relationships with local government, charitable organizations, and HBCUs.

A Transportation Battalion of over 1000 soldiers spread over a 4 state span comprised of three Medium Truck Companies, a PLS Company, a Maintenance Company, two Trailer Transfer Point Detachments, two Medium Control Detachments, one Public Affairs Detachment, and one Headquarters Detachment. I conducted, mission planning, and execution for the battalion operations staff. Mentored and developed subordinate leaders and teams to perform their assigned missions to exceed the expectations of Commanders and units being supported. I lead several battalion staff sections as they provided service support, and training for the battalion and its down trace units. I spear headed the battalions effort to achieve all 18 performance indicators set forth by the 143rd RSG that reflect unit readiness for 812th TC BN and its down trace units.
