Since obtaining my degree in Chemical Engineering, I have developed professionally as a process engineer, process safety engineer and consultant in the crude oil production industry and oil refining industry in engineering projects in the Ecopetrol Group. In addition to working in other sectors such as manufacturing, petrochemicals, insecticides, services, port logistics and agribusiness.As a process engineer, I have had participation in projects where I have developed conceptual, basic and detailed engineering, delivering the documentation required by the client (bases and design criteria, mass and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, list of lines, list of TIE-INs, list of equipment, operating philosophy, operating manuals, among others). Process Safety Engineer
• Support the implementation of the Process Safety Management System in HOCOL S.A, ensuring that the process safety elements are applied to the projects that are developed for the crude oil production facilities, as well as for the subsoil (drilling & completion and workover).• Lead, participate and provide technical support in the performance of process risk analysis such as What if, Hazid, Hazop, Safop, LOPA, Consequence Analysis (PHAST), among others, in the projects developed in facilities and subsoil engineering.• Review the conceptual, basic and detail engineering, developed in the projects that facilities engineering executes in the different fields of Colombia. Commissioning And Process Safety Engineer
To transmit the process safety culture to each of the specialists, technicians and operators of the Massy Energy company, who are part of the projects of Interconnection of the Crude Oil Plants, Boiler Water, Load Lifting Facilities and Modernization of the Cartagena Refinery Workshops. The following are the functions that I carry out and that are part of the pillars of the Process Safety Risk Management System:• Identify, review and socialize with each of the specialists of the company Massy Energy, the documentation that is part of the process risk analysis (HAZOP, LOPA, QRA and PHAST), which were carried out in the detailed engineering of the Interconnection of Crude Oil Plants project.• Build and develop operational procedures associated with the commissioning and start-up of the crude oil unit.• Disseminate to Massy Energy specialists, technicians and operators the safe working practices implemented at the Cartagena Refinery. The most relevant activities are the implementation of the Safe Process Isolation System and the Safe Electrical Isolation System.• Carry out the inventory of hazardous substances involved in the Oil Plant Interconnection project.• Identify, review and adjust the engineering developed in the Oil Plant Interconnection project, ensuring compliance with international standards.• Compile, catalogue and make available in a repository file for leaders, specialists and technicians, the information relating to the Oil Plant Interconnection project.• Identify the safety-critical equipment and processes of the Oil Plant Interconnection project.• Review and ensure that engineering changes made to the Oil Plant Interconnection project do not inadvertently introduce new hazards or unwittingly increase the risks of existing hazards.• Conduct the inventory of hazardous substances that are involved in the Oil Plant Interconnection project.
