My role as the Managing Director is multi-faceted. In league with my team of executives, business plans, budgets and organisational strategies are developed and implemented. I am charged with creating and sustaining a culture of innovation, enablement and awareness. I identify and manage operational and corporate risk and ensure internal reporting, monitoring and control mechanisms adhere to specified requirements. Furthermore, I provide complex problem-solving advice, deliver effective decision-making, oversee business operations, communicate timely and accurate information to staff, clients and markets, maintain interest in political, governmental, business and industry developments and lead and motivate a sizeable team to deliver the Nexia Perth promise. My days are full but I wouldn’t have it any other way. That said, no matter how busy, I always find time to respond to clients. When I communicate to clients I understand the trials and tribulations of their business journey it’s because personally, I have lived the experience. In 1993, bright-eyed and enthusiastic, I joined Brandsma Crockett and in 1994, achieved partner status. Through strong organic growth and a series of mergers and acquisitions, Brandsma Crockett evolved to become Nexia Perth. I am acutely aware of the pressures business owners face which is why Nexia Perth developed and refined the Cash Growth Value program. CGV is a multi-pronged approach with a focus on managing compliance, scaling up the business and growing the client’s personal wealth portfolio.
