Throughout my career in the Themed Entertainment Industry, I’ve also got the opportunity to freelance on some amazing Film and TV Projects. Building one of a kind props and miniature models for companies like Vans Shoe, and TV Shows like The Aquabats Super Show.

After completing an all new immersive land at the edge of a galaxy, I returned as a freelance Art Director and Production Designer for the Entertainment Department at Universal Studios Hollywood. My focus is to create elevation renderings, scenic books, and graphics to communicate our design intent to scenic vendors, lighting, and our prop department. Creating various graphics scaling from full wall scrim graphics, floor treatments, banners, poster and labels for fictional products as well as all CNC files for construction and installation. Once the design phase is complete, I transitioned to an In-field Art director to communicate to construction, scenic vendors and the prop department our design and storytelling intent.

Disneyland Resort

This awesome project took me to the Edge of a Galaxy Far Far Away to help create a one of a kind immersive experience that Star Wars fans throughout the world have been waiting for. I was fortunate enough to lead an install crew in all Set Dressing and Prop Installations throughout the land and attractions. Working closely with Walt Disney Imagineers to make sure the storytelling and design intent was achieved throughout the project.

As a Production Designer and Art Director for Universal Studios Hollywood my main project for the year was Halloween Horror Nights. My focus was to create elevation renderings, scenic books, and graphics to communicate our design intent to scenic vendors, lighting, and our prop department. I created various graphics scaling from full wall scrim graphics, floor treatments, banners, poster and labels for fictional products. I was also responsible for creating, handling distributing all CNC files to the appropriate vendors for construction and installation. Once the design phase was complete, I transitioned to an In-field Art director to communicate to construction, scenic vendors and the prop department.Although Halloween Horror night was my main project, I had the opportunity to be the Production Designer for our 2018 Lunar New year event. My team and I were tasked with developing and creating a brand new immersive experience based on the Kung Fu Panda franchise for the seasonal Lunar New Year event. Within this role, I was responsible for the overall creative decisions pertaining to the event which includes the overall design, scenic, graphics, and a one of a kind puppet made by the Jim Henson Company.

During this time with Universal I was working with the Universal Creative Project Team installing and set dressing all elements within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Specializing in the dressing and installation of all magic windows throughout the Wizarding World.

Prior to becoming Art Director and Production Designer with the Entertainment Department, I freelanced as an Assistant Designer, Texture Designer, and Graphic Designer for every Halloween Horror Nights Maze. I also had the opportunity to work on multiple park projects thought the years.

Starting my career with Universal, I create props and set dressing elements for all Halloween Horror Nights Mazes, seasonal park projects and instalations, as well as our annual holiday Grinchmas event.

During this time I was working as a freelance prop maker for the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World and Shanghai Disneyland. I specialized in building one of a kind elements for the 60th diamond celebration of Disneyland, as well as one of a kind display elements and custom pin training boards for each park.
