Studying the TRAPPIST-1 planetary system under Dr. Yifan Zhou. Using data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) in combination with stellar spectroscopy and imaging, the primary goal of our research is to understand the atmospheric conditions on the surfaces of the seven planets in the TRAPPIST-1 system. The data, in combination with models we create.

Working with UVA Physics professor Dr. Stefan Baessler to create improved physics materials, providing better engagement in the classroom, and spearheading student interest in the field of physics. Creating new presentations, lecture materials, and assignments for future physics students at UVA with the overarching goal of improving the quality of physics.

I started an informational blog on astronomy and astrophysics with the goals of spreading knowledge about the field through blog articles. I’ve written articles explaining the basics of the Uncertainty Principle, discussing how astronomers deduce stellar properties such as luminosity and star size, and theories about the origin and fate of the universe..

I was selected to participate in the VASTS program, where I was immersed in NASA-related research. Through the program, I learned math and physics concepts used by astronomers in NASA, received mentorship from NASA officials and scientists, and wrote research papers in which I designed space missions, planned space settlements, and wrote proposals for.
