Future Boston Alliance is a non-profit organization seeking to revolutionize our city's creative economy. By advocating for new talent and businesses and holding educational events, we aim to make Boston a hub for collaboration, innovation, and culture.

Course Description: CC472 (CRN 20385) Social Advocacy, Grassroots Organizing and Communication. This class explores effective communication models for organizing “the grassroots” and effectuating social advocacy. Students will learn how to build relationships withnonprofits, issue campaigns and communities. Service learning is a component of the course and students will get a chance to apply their course work by building a communication message campaign for a non profit of their choice located in Boston.

Access Strategies Fund provides non-partisan funding and technical assistance to 501 (c)(3) organizations to build the civic participation and power of diverse women, people of color, low-income people, immigrant communities, people with disabilities and other groups that have been denied power in Massachusetts communities.

Implementation of CoLab’s economic democracy work is guided by our characteristic “Pivot Point” approach, which strives to bring about a convergence of wealth creation, democratic engagement and urban sustainability with communities facing moments of disruptive change that have opened the potential for new economic and societal possibilities.

The mission of The Gathering is to build an Intergenerational, movement, rooted in history, cultures and non-violent direct action to heal communities, build collective strength and generate an environment of hope and opportunity.Civil rights and social justice organizations have come to understand that collective action on a national basis is required to stop child incarceration and challenge the immoral process which perpetuates an unjust justice system. These groups are working under extremely difficult circumstances and many of them with little or no resources. The Gathering is a national movement that creates a coordinated space to 1) fortify relationships between regional groups, 2) support local endeavors and 3) enhance the ongoing organizing of non-violent direct action training. Central to its mission is strengthening our moral environment.
