After founding Arlington Urban Media & Entertainment (AUME), one of the largest independent media outlets in Arlington, Texas and running day to day operations as the Chief Executive Officer, with my partners, I primarily spearheaded tremendous growth for the company and grew/developed the team in media operations across North TexasDue to proudly enlisting into the active duty United States Marine Corps, I was forced to transfer my position internally at Arlington Urban Media & Entertainment, where I became AUME’s Senior Business Advisor prior to enlisting.As AUME’s senior advisor, I make recommendations on AUME’s operational processes, identify new business opportunities, manage/develop relationships and partnerships, evaluate marketing strategies, manage risk by performing risk analysis and consumer behavioral analysis.

Overtime with the AUME Team, I contributed in spearheading the company in morphing itself from a spectacle to one of the most notable and highly respected brands across Arlington & North Texas, having amassed a hyper-engaged online community of over 80K people. From local news, clothing manufacturing/designing, music, and sports coverage to in-depth interviews and community events, AUME is still breaking barriers in the North Texas community.

As a boat operator and officer I conduct military operations intertwining the usage of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) small boats while relaying communication from supporting units, controlling directions of fire for multiple onboard weapon systems, and supervising boat team members with a primary focus in advising the detachment commander in relation to small boat operations. The primary purpose of the detachment is to conduct amphibious raids, Visit, Board, Search & Seizure (VBSS) and other military amphibious operations for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Amphibious Ready Group.

As a boat operator I conduct military operations intertwining the usage of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) small boats while engaging in tactical driving/maneuvers, gunnery using multiple onboard weapon systems, and supervising boat crew/team as well as implementing complex maritime navigation that includes: Plotting and maintaining nautical charts, planning intended movements for military operations, giving real time reports to operation leaders, operating communications equipment, and calculating tides & weather. The primary purpose of the detachment is to conduct amphibious raids, Visit, Board, Search & Seizure (VBSS) and other military amphibious operations for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) and Amphbious Ready Group.

Performing various duties related to the operation and maintenance of the Amphibious Assault Vehicle, to include tactical employment, mission planning, communications, tactical maneuvers, gunnery using multiple onboard weapon systems, land navigation and provisional infantry.

55 days of training that will provide students the foundational skills and safety precautions necessary to operate the AAV on land and water, and to serve as a member of an AAV crew. Students learn how to maintain an AAV and associated equipment (weapons, communications suite, SL-3, and logbook) and how to operate an AAV on land, to include introductory troubleshooting and self-recovery. Students will also be able to operate an AAV in the water and know how to execute emergency procedures afloat. Additionally, students learn how to operate and employ the M2 Caliber .50 and MK-19, 40mm machine guns from the AAV Upgunned Weapons Station (UGWS). Graduates of this course will be able to perform duties within an AAV crew in both garrison and expeditionary environments. Prior to graduation, all students are required to have a swim qualification of Marine Corps Water Survival Intermediate.

Marine Combat Training (MCT) is a 29-day course at the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton, California where entry-level Marines taught the common skills needed in combat and world wide deployment. Students learn the the basics of both day & night combat marksmanship, counter-improvised explosive device techniques, how to conduct the defense of a position, convoy operations, combat formations, fireteam assaults, patrolling, MOUT, reporting military intelligence, machine gun employment and gunnery, land navigation, basic use of military radios & communications. Training also includes combat conditioning by running an obstacle course, conducting marches, physical training, and MCMAP. Upon completion of MCT, the Marine is to have gained the knowledge and ability to operate in a combat environment as a basic rifleman and to perform primary duties under fire.

Enlisted Marine Recruits receive instruction on United States Marine Corps history, Naval traditions (customs and courtesies), rifle handling, basic marksmanship training, basic combat water survival, combat field environment training, basic first aid, uniforms, leadership and core values. During recruit training, recruits learn discipline through close-order drill and hand-to-hand combat skills through the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, which is made up of various martial arts styles.
